MWPC HUNGER FUND

Anytime!

Gifts to the Hunger Fund support our efforts to alleviate hunger and its root causes in our community and around the world, including a generous donation to SEM Food Pantry to provide holiday food items for their guests.

  • Donate here or by check to the church, clearly marked for the Hunger Fund

  • Cards are available on the Pantry Shelf to commemorate a gift made in someone’s honor for the holidays

THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE

November 1-19

Donations of holiday food items will benefit families from Mt. Washington and Sands Montessori Schools at our November 20th distribution.

  • Requested items: canned sweet potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, turkey gravy

  • Please place donated items on the Pantry Shelf in the Gathering Area by November 19

With both in-person and online options, it’s easy to support charities around the world. Great gifts for everyone on your list!

GIVING TREE

November 7 - December 5

Bring Christmas joy to over 300 children in our area from Mt. Washington School, Sands Montessori and ProKids! Choose to pick up a tag and drop off gifts at church or shop online and have gifts delivered.

  • One option: Pick up a tag from the tree in the Gathering Area and return the unwrapped gift to church by December 5th

  • Another option: Click HERE for our Amazon Wishlist, shop online and have gifts shipped to Sandy Lane by December 5th. Her shipping information is included at the top of the Wishlist.

  • If shopping with Amazon, please consider designating MWPC to receive a portion of your purchase through Amazon Smile.

  • All gifts should be unwrapped. Gift bags will be provided.

  • Not a shopper? Please consider donating to the Giving Tree through the MWPC website or by mailing a clearly marked check to the church and gifts will be purchased for you!

MWPC SERVICE DAY

Saturday, November 13 9:30-11:30

Join us in this intergenerational opportunity to spruce up the church before Advent! Projects may be both indoors and out, like raking leaves, tending to flower beds and spiffing up the sanctuary and gathering area. Please let Ashley (ashley@mwpc-church.org) or Jill (jill@mwpc-church.org) know by Nov 7 that you’re coming so we can have projects ready to go.

CHRISTMAS JOY OFFERING

December 5-24

This denominational offering supports Presbyterian-related schools and colleges equipping communities of color, as well as church workers in dire financial circumstances. Donate online or by check to the church, clearly marked for the Joy Offering.

LITTLE PANTRY

Anytime!

Located near the preschool entrance to the church, the Little Pantry provides access to emergency food 24/7. Donations of shelf stable food or personal care items may be left anytime.
